Why a safety tracker can qualify
Many families come to Littlebird because of a diagnosis: autism, ADHD, epilepsy, a child who wanders, or another condition where knowing where they are is part of daily care. An independent licensed practitioner reviews a short health survey and decides whether Littlebird is medically necessary for your child. If it is, you receive a Letter of Medical Necessity and your HSA or FSA card works at checkout.
How it works
Add Littlebird to your cart.
Pick the one-year or two-year plan. Both include the tracker.
Choose Truemed at checkout.
Select “Truemed - Pay with HSA/FSA.” If you are signed in to Shop Pay, tap “Pay another way” first.
Complete the health survey.
A few minutes about your child and why a tracker helps. An independent licensed practitioner reviews it.
Pay with your HSA/FSA card.
If you qualify, Truemed issues your Letter of Medical Necessity and your card is charged. If not, your card is not charged and you can pay another way.
The cost of Truemed's review is included in the price. There is nothing extra to pay.

Already bought Littlebird with a regular card?
Your order confirmation email has a Truemed link. Complete the same health survey there and, if you qualify, you get a Letter of Medical Necessity to submit to your HSA or FSA administrator for reimbursement. It covers your Littlebird purchases for twelve months.
Questions
What are HSA and FSA funds, and do they work here?
A Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) holds pre-tax money for eligible health expenses. Littlebird has partnered with Truemed so qualified customers can use those funds on the tracker and membership. Eligibility depends on your child’s circumstances and is decided by an independent licensed practitioner through a health survey at checkout.
Who decides whether I qualify?
An independent licensed practitioner, not Littlebird and not Truemed staff. They review your health survey and decide whether a safety tracker is medically necessary for your child. If so, they issue a Letter of Medical Necessity.
What happens if I do not qualify?
Your HSA/FSA card is not charged. You can finish the order with a regular card, or come back and try again later if your child’s situation changes.
Does Truemed cost extra?
No. The cost of Truemed’s service is included in the purchase price.
I do not see Truemed at checkout.
Shop Pay hides other payment methods when you are signed in. Choose “Pay another way” or “More payment options” and Truemed appears in the list.
When does my order ship?
After the practitioner review is complete and payment is confirmed. The order shows as pending until then. Once it is paid, it ships like any other Littlebird order.
Do returns still work?
Yes. Free 14-day returns apply to every order. A refund goes back to the card you paid with.
